Poetry of the Pose

This series of work combines original art with the written word. Upon completion, the artist steps back from the portrait to see what emotion she has captured. It may be the individuals's emotion or her own at the time of working. Using life experiences, the artist then describes that emotion in the form of poetry. It is her hope that the combination of people and words will touch a similar feeling in the viewer. Purchase of this work includes a framed copy of the poetry suitable for framing. The artist retains the copyright of the poems and the right to use the images and/or text for promotional purposes.
